Reading the stories gathered here immerses us in a magical universe written in the feminine and represented in its multiplicity of meanings by the symbolic cheong-sam dress. We are facing a writer who dives to the limit in this plural pulse that is Macau, choosing for her stories women who - by their determination, by their strength, and by the way they deal with suffering - leave anonymity to become heroines, main subjects of a world where they can apparently move behind the scenes.
